Friends Aid Africa is embarking on a transformative initiative to construct a modern Orphanage Home and School in Uganda. This project aims to provide a safe, nurturing home and access to quality education for orphaned and vulnerable children affected by poverty, conflict, disease, and neglect.
With a total estimated cost of $700,000, this project will offer a long-term, sustainable solution for at-risk children—ensuring they grow up in a protective environment with the support, care, and education they need to thrive.
Why This Project Matters
Uganda is home to over 2 million orphans, many of whom face life on the streets, child labor, abuse, and lack of access to education and basic services. Current care structures are overwhelmed and under-resourced. Friends Aid Africa recognizes an urgent need to create a model orphanage and school that provides more than shelter—it offers healing, hope, and opportunity.
This facility will:
- House 100 children in a safe, loving, and family-style environment.
- Educate up to 300 students, including orphans and children from surrounding communities.
- Promote psychosocial support, life skills, and holistic development.
- Serve as a replicable model for child-centered care and education in Uganda.
